Business at LOL Logistics International Services Ltda are led by
Miss Angelica Oñate, Industrial Engineer, Specialist in Finance, International Business, MBA, who used to work as Financial Manager, Second Legal Representative, ISO 9001 Quality Control Representative, and Commercial Manager of two leading shipping agencies in the Colombian market during last 8 years with headquarters in The Netherlands and USA, acting now as the Managing Director and Commercial Manager of LOL.
Mrs. Luisa Vargas, who used to work as Port Supervisor, Administrative Coordinator and Treasury Manager of two leading shipping agencies in the Colombian market during last 18 years with headquarters in Belgium and the Netherlands, acting now as Financial & Administrative Manager of LOL.
LOL’s directors will be also supported by two Consultants, one in the legal matters and the other one related with operational fields, thanks to their wide experience and knowledge during last 18 years, still active and skilled in the Colombian maritime business. We will be also supported by well-known worldwide counter partners, acting as advisors, which are specialized in technical/operational/maritime assistance.
LOL’s directors background is quite extensive in the commercial, financial and operational areas of the maritime business, handling all type of bulk and general cargoes due to their previous jobs where they have worked in the management staff, receiving a continuous training in leadership, quality service, quality control (ISO 9001 vs 2000), CRM, business intelligence, customs procedures, trading/negotiation skills, teamwork, logistics, shipping and international exposure with clients and co-workers.
LOL´s directors and their operational consultant have established close contacts with important parties involved in the coal/coke, steels and petroleum markets, considering our regular exposure in the attendance of ships at the biggest Colombian steam coal ports such as Pto Bolivar (Cerrejon), Drummond (Drummond), Prodeco (Glencore), Rio Cordoba (C.I. Carbones del Caribe) and others like SPR BAQ, SPR Santa Marta, Mamonal, Muelles El Bosque, Michellmar, Buenaventura, etc. since about 10 years ago.
LOL´s directors have also worked with biggest steel producers and traders, by developing and finding out new ways to organize their logistics to export their products into the Caribbean market.
Our Managing Director was exposed to intensive marketing trainings which lasted one month in 2004 in The Netherlands and ARA range, Panama Canal for two days in 2006 and Tampa Port for one day in 2007.
Our Managing Director has attended most of the major dry and liquid bulk conferences throughout the world during last 5 years such as Steels Conferences, Crude Palm Oil Conferences, ILAFA Congress, Coal Conferences and ASBA Conferences (Shipbrokers & Agents) in an effort to gain market knowledge of worldwide industry.
As part of the commercial team of previous companies, our Managing Director has travelled all over the world since 5 years ago, developing new business and meeting Managers, CEOs, Directors of Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Purchases, Trading, Brokers, Shipping, Chartering, etc. in countries such as Argentina, Panama, Chile, USA (Florida, Baltimore, Washington, Mississippi, Atlanta, New Jersey, New York, Houston. etc.) and Europe (Monaco, Germany, The Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium).
